A search for the Ross's Goose recently observed on Scuttlehole Road was unsuccessful today. Other birders were also searching the area and, as of approximately 12:00PM, had not seen the bird. A Tundra Swan was on Sag Pond and fourteen Snow Geese (including a blue morph) was observed in a flock of eight hundred Canada Geese on Mitchell Lane. Flocks of Canada Geese were moving back and forth during the morning and early afternoon, with an estimated 4,000 birds observed between Sag Pond (partially frozen) and Short's Pond (totally frozen).
