Just a quick note about the status of the geese in Orange County today. This morning, Rob Stone reported that there were almost no Snow Geese to be found in the Black Dirt region. I happened to be in Sullivan County this morning (who'd have guessed). Tremendous numbers of geese were flying over the county. Later in the day, Rob did find about 1,000 Snow Geese off of Mission Lands Road. They were visible, but not really viewable. He also had several Greater White-fronted Geese at Skinner Road. Large numbers of Canada Geese continued. Rob also found a Northern Shrike on Mission Lands Road this morning. Thanks to Rob for the updates. John Haas
