Seeing the data on the Grace Estate bird survey inspired me to note that I also have yet to see or hear a Wood Thrush this year (my yard is 100 yards East of the Grace Estate in 300 acre preserved area that abuts it). I have had Veery though plus all the other usual residents.
Of note this year though is a singing male Summer Tanager that has now been in the yard for 4 days and sings morning and evening from the Oaks by the pool. Only my 2nd in 5 years here.
