The issue of the Swallows was brought up to the property owner/developer this morning and he said that he wil refrain from construction activities in those areas until nesting has been completed. I presume that under the Migratory Bird Act these nests would be covered - anyone with more information (DEC folks?) please feel free to share on here or through e-mail. There is also potential for keeping part of the natural slope (instead of grading it) for future use as a nesting site but that is to be determined.
