The Sandwich Tern was a no show today. Making appearances were the first summer Arctic, the Black, the Royal, 2 adult Roseates, several Forster's, a Black Skimmer, and of course, many Common and Least Terns. The one Roseate that I photographed has silver bands on both legs, but I doubt that I'll be able to make out anything more.

A good variety of shorebirds (for June 30) on the flats included American Oystercatcher, Black-bellied Plover, Piping Plover, Willet, Greater Yellowlegs (1), Short-billed Dowitcher, Ruddy Turnstone, Dunlin (1), Red Knot, Sanderling, and Semipalmated Sandpiper.

Other observers were Rob Bate, Bob Adamo, and Tom Moran.
