Flushed 2 Yellow-crowned Night Herons from the bushes along the "saltmarsh"
trail at Sammy's Beach yesterday (not too common East of the Canal).

Other "garden" birds up here in NorthWest this weekend included Yellow-billed
Cuckoo, Eastern Phoebe, Turkey Vulture (scarce here) and a Wood Thrush singing
on Saturday evening (they've been conspicuous by their absence this year).

Scarlet and Summer Tanagers continue (saw the male Summer Tanager on Friday,
Saturday and Monday but did not see the female).

"Bird" of the weekend for me was an Eastern Milk Snake in the yard. New for
the yard list.
