Peter Polshek and I went birding with my ornithology students today from Georgica Pond to Mecox Bay (eastern Suffolk Co.) for about 2.5 hrs. We did not see anything particularly rare but did find 2 Horned Grebes and 7 ROYAL TERNS @ Mecox. In addition, we counted 4260 Double-crested Cormorants moving west.
