I heard from Tom Burke that he and Gail found an adult LITTLE GULL (with
about 100 Bonaparte's Gulls) late today out on the ocean off Point Lookout
Town Park. There was a frenzy of large gulls at the mouth of Jones Inlet
earlier in the day, but they appeared to be all Herring. Still RAZORBILL
activity on the inside. Tom found one in the channel this morning, looking
out from the Short Beach boat basin, possibly the same one that I observed a
while later, moving toward the inlet in the vicinity of the fisherman's lot.
