Monday, 30 April, 2012 - Bryant Park, [mid-town] Manhattan, N.Y. City

A male PROTHONOTARY Warbler continues on for at least the eighth
straight day in Bryant Park. The Protho. was in the southwest portion
of the park, mainly in London Plane trees as it's been most of the
time there. Various other migrants are also around again (and a fine
day in Central Park in Manhattan is also shaping up). At least
several observers also were seeing the Protho. Warbler... Bryant Park
is located between Fifth & Sixth Avenues, and between 40 & 42 Streets,
and the sighting this morning had been nearer to the Sixth Ave. and
nearer the 40 Street sides (SW). One nice feature of standing on the
cusp of May is that a lot of birds are really beginning to sing more
forcefully or continuously lately, which should increase further with
warming weather later in this week.

Good birding,

Tom Fiore,
Manhattan
