Relocated periodically through 6:15, though possibly remaining hidden in the
same tree much of the time. The actual spot is not all that close to the
gazebos. Some more specific directions: Park by the western end of the pond.
There is a walkway with shallow steps that goes up the hill. At the end of
the stairway, there is a grass triangle between the paths. There are two
benches at this triangle. In the triangle, there is a very wide trunked oak
with several branches branching out at about 12 feet high. Eric wants me to
add that there is a "cleft" in the trunk (no doubt, that helps). This is the
tree in which the Golden-winged was being seen. Viewing for the most part
was being done from deep, straight away center field of the ball field.

Subject: [nysbirds-l] Golden-winged Warbler @ Crocheron Park Queens
County...

Eric Miller, just called to report a Golden-winged Warbler at Crocheron
Park, which is in Bayside Queens. Heard and seen on the eastern end of the
park near the gazebos. Good luck if you go!
