The Saturday morning bird walk at NYBG began shortly after the rain stopped. It 
turned out to be a beautiful day.

The PILEATED WOODPECKER was spotted on Tuesday down by Twin Lakes sitting in a 
wooden fence. The birder who saw the woodpecker said she had a very good look 
before it took off. 

On the walk we spotted:
Eastern Kingbirds-2
Baltimore oriole-1
Mockingbird-1
Belted kingfisher-1
Cedar waxwings-9
Grackles- many
American Robins-16
Red winged black birds-7
Warbling Vireo- heard
Yellow warbler-1
Black crowned night heron-1
Cormorant -1
Blue jays-3
Cardinals-5
Tree swallow-2
House wren-2
