When I left the East Pond, Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge at 7:45pm, the Ruff was still feeding on the eastern side at the North End, south of "Dead Man's Cove". You can see a roof through the trees on the east side in this area, and if you moved your eyes all the way down, there was the Ruff!
For birders not familiar with the East Pond, it would be a good idea to bring wellies or waders and a scope. And, keep away from the northeast corner of the pond!
