I have a friend that lives in Fulton NY, just north of Syracuse. She knows
I am into birds so she sent me a an awesome picture of a family of swans (2
adults and 5 babies) down the road from her house. At first look I realized
they weren't mute swans. I have never seen a Trumpeter swan, but looking in the
book I am pretty sure they are Trumpeter Swans, with all black beak, and yellow
wash on the adults necks. Have they been known to breed in NY?
