There was a heavy and diverse morning flight today at Robert Moses SP, near the
western end of Fire Island, LI. I haven't added up all my tallies for the birds
we counted between 6:45 and 10:15, but totals of 48 Red-breasted Nuthatch and
44 Northern Waterthrush were impressive to me.

Highlights among the scarcer migrants were two Western Kingbirds and an adult
Red-headed Woodpecker.
