The 89th Bronx-Westchester CBC count will be held on SUNDAY, December 23, 2012.
The count covers the lower half of Westchester County and almost all of the
Bronx. Many of the areas are accessible to NY City birders by subway and
MetroNorth. If you’d like to help out visit the count’s web page at
http://www.hras.org/bwcbc.html for area leader information or contact the count
compiler, Michael Bochnik.

The count has seen 225 species in its history and averages 115 each year. The
count was started by the famed Bronx County Bird Club and has included
participants such as Allan Cruickshank and Roger Tory Peterson

THE NATIONAL AUDUBON SOCIETY HAS DROPPED THE PARTICIPATION FEE. IT IS NOW FREE,
BUT DONATIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

The compilation dinner will be at the Lenoir Nature Center
(http://hras.org/wtobird/lenoir.html), 19 Dudley Street in Yonkers. The cost
for the dinner is only $10. The center will be open by 4:30 PM for those who
need a place to meet and total up your birds or just warm up. The food and
count down will begin at 6:00 PM.
