Not a New York State bird story, but I found this pretty interesting.  Birders 
as far south as Miami are finding hundreds (one report of a thousand) 
Razorbills with many right along the shoreline.

According Bill Pranty, there were 14 records through 2011.  Some of the photos 
posted show nearly twice as meany in one shot.  Also Black and Surf Scoters.

Hardly seems fair to see Razorbills without having to deal with freezing temps 
and gale force winds.  One observer reported one while surfing!
