There was a female Common Redpoll at the feeders in Evodia in the Ramble this morning, about 9:30 am. She was using the sock-type feeder at the western edge of the field, and then flew up into the trees, moving from tree to tree and eventually into one which was occupied mostly by a dozen or so House Finches, and I lost her in the crowd.
Here's one photo of the Redpoll: http://edgaillard.smugmug.com/photos/i-rTbxJpf/0/L/i-rTbxJpf-L.jpg and some others are in this set: http://edgaillard.smugmug.com/Bird-ID/Redpoll-plus-130103/27384684_bfmmjL along with some photos of another bird I photographed while trying to follow the Redpoll and am puzzled by: http://edgaillard.smugmug.com/photos/i-dHNHk2r/0/L/i-dHNHk2r-L.jpg not the Redpoll, and rather yellow for a House Finch.
