I left work early to catch up with the Western Grebe reported by Robert Spahn
and others. Sal Salembier was heading in from the pier as I was heading out -
nice to finally see one.

Driving back along Rte 18 there were tens of thousands of Canada Geese and a
couple dozen Tundra Swans (in addition to a few odd ducks and Mute Swans).

A quick stop at Modern Disposal Created Wetlands in Lewiston yeilded 600+ Canda
Geese, 1 Mallard, 2 Hooded Margansers, 3 Red-winged Blackbirds and 1 Tree
Swallow. Quiet likely other birds (or more of the same) were present but
thelight was fading.
