There is currently an adult plumaged Red-headed Woodpecker in the tall oaks in the area behind the nature center and the restored marshlands behind the public pool. First spotted by Persephanie Westervelt, a participant in my NYC Audubon bird walk this morning and seen several times by many in attendance.
