  The Buffalo Bird Report is a service provided by your
  Buffalo Museum of Science and the Buffalo Ornithological
  Society. To contact the Science Museum, call 896-5200. Press
  the pound key to report sightings before the end of this
  report.

  Highlights of reports received November 7 through November
  14 from the Niagara Frontier Region include FRANKLIN'S GULL,
  BLACK-LEG. KITTIWAKE and TUNDRA SWANS.

  This week on the Niagara River at the south end of Squaw
  Island in Buffalo, among abundant BONAPARTE'S GULLS - 2
  FRANKLIN'S GULLS, 2 BLACK-LEG. KITTIWAKES, LITTLE GULL and a
  COMMON TERN.

  Other Niagara River gulls - incoming GLAUCOUS GULLS and
  ICELAND GULLS at Niagara Falls and the lower river at
  Lewiston.

  TUNDRA SWANS arriving to a favored wintering location -
  the upper Niagara River off Beaver Island State Park on
  Grand Island. 64 TUNDRA SWANS on November 8, and several
  more TUNDRA SWANS at the north Grand Island bridge. Also,
  GREATER SCAUP moving up-river past the Lewiston docks.

  31 TUNDRA SWANS on Chautauqua Lake too, with numbers of
  REDHEADS, RUDDY DUCKS and AMERICAN COOTS, plus 4 COMMON
  LOONS.

  In the Southern Tier, November 11, a dark-phase ROUGH-LEGGED
  HAWK in the Allegany County Town of Ward. Two NORTHERN
  SHRIKES in an Akron yard in Newstead on the 9th.

  On Lake Erie, RED-BR. MERGANSERS in abundant numbers at
  Buffalo, Dunkirk Harbor and Barcelona Harbor. Also at
  Barcelona, 107 HORNED GREBES, 3 COMMON LOONS, 600
  BONAPARTE'S GULLS and a hybrid GREAT BLACK-B. GULL x
  GLAUCOUS GULL. At Dunkirk, 5 BLACK SCOTERS, 18 DUNLIN and
  over 100 each of BUFFLEHEAD, AMERICAN COOT and D.-CREST.
  CORMORANT.

  Other reports this week - In Buffalo, PARASITIC JAEGER off the Erie
  Basin Marina tower, and PEREGRINE FALCON at Main and Bailey
  Avenue. And, COOPER'S HAWK at a feeder on Grand Island.

  The Bird Report will be updated Thursday evening, November
