November 21 through November 27, a short but highlight
filled week in the Niagara Frontier Region - LARK SPARROW,
ELEGANT TERN, HARLEQUIN DUCK and SNOWY OWL.

LARK SPARROW along the upper Niagara River in Fort Erie,
Ontario. November 24 through the 27th, the bird has ranged
along the Niagara Parkway from Highland Avenue and northward
about a mile, almost to Thompson Road. This looks to be the
fifth occurrence of LARK SPARROW since 1990.

In the same section of the upper Niagara River, the most
recent report of the ELEGANT TERN was November 24, on the
Ontario side of the river, roosted on the rocks at Gilmore
Road in Fort Erie. On the 23rd, the tern was on the New York
side at the Black Rock Canal pier, at the north end of Squaw
  Island Park in Buffalo.

Also the 24th, on Lake Ontario, two male HARLEQUIN DUCKS off
the main parking lot at Fort Niagara State Park in Porter.

And, November 25, a SNOWY OWL, at 10:30 PM, on a light pole
at the Buffalo Airport short term parking garage.
