After scanning many vacant farm fields in the Riverhead/Calverton area - all devoid of geese, we checked Merritt Pond, off Ostrander Ave., Riverhead. The pond was practically filled with geese, however, we only saw Canadas in the portion of the pond we could view. Eileen Schwinn Michael Higgiston
