Again tonight between 5:07 and 5:25pm (when it became too dark to see) one Short-eared Owl was foraging over the fields on the south side of Flint Mine Rd, about ½ mile east of where it intersects 9W, in Coxsackie, just south of the prison.
There was also a dark morph Rough-legged Hawk present in the same fields just a bit earlier. Probably the same bird that I observed in that same location last weekend.
