The Male & Female Barrows Goldeneye were seen at Montauk Lake from South Lake Drive at 1:45 PM today.
Seen at Montauk Point were the Reported Immature Lesser Black-back Gull, 1 Iceland Gull, 25 Common Eiders and an impressive number of Scoters. Best guess- 10,000 Scoters. Predominantly Surf Scoter with large numbers of Common Scoters. An occasional White-winged Scoter mixed in.
