A third year Lesser Black-backed Gull was roosting in the marshes along Dune Rd this morning in a flock of about 60 Herring Gulls. The bird was about a mile east of Tiana Beach- photo posted to NY Birders Facebook page. Eiders and scoters remain at Shinnecock, but I didn't happen to run into any white- winged gulls or Snowy Owls in my brief visit.
