Massapequa 5 Apr I stopped by and found the red phase Screech-Owl sunning itself in the nest hole clearly visible from the path. The path itself was full of bicyclist, joggers and walkers. I was amazed at how many of these regulars knew the owl was there and liked the whole idea of it, stopping to chat as I took a few pictures. One passerby mentioned the photo that appeared in "Newsday" under reader submissions.
Didn't see any new migrants. But, beautiful day to be out.
