Late afternoon (2:00pm) walk at Hempstead Lake State Park today produced a first of season Blue gray gnatcatcher for me near the South pond. Above the South Pond was a swirling flock of Tree Swallows, as well as 6 Barn Swallows and 2 Northern Roughed-winged Swallows. Bob Proniewych
