A single SHOOTY SHEARWATER flew west to east just beyond the breakers at Robert
Moses field 2 this morning at ~8:50, providing the best shore-bound looks I've
ever had of the species. Other than that bird the rest of my hour-long sea
watch was eventful, with a handful of gannets and loons (Common and
Red-throated) on the move and a small raft of Black Scoter the most notable
sightings.
