The previously reported Short-eared Owl has been seen the past two evenings -
Monday and Tuesday - at the north-end grassy field of the unused western runway
at EPCAL. It was actively hunting at 4:00pm on Monday, and continued until
4:50. On Tuesday, it did not appear until after sunset, being well seen and
clearly visible from 4:40-5:00pm.

The unused runways are now posted as closed to vehicles, however it is possible
to walk the area, although that is not necessary to view the Short-eared Owl.
Best views were from the runway barriers at the end of the short dirt road a
few hundred feet (on the west) from the traffic light entrance(Route 25).
