On Monday I discovered a Eurasian Teal (Eurasian subspecies of Green-winged Teal) at the Centerport Pond viewed from the parking lot of the Chalet Motel. Mike Rath and I viewed it there again today. It is easy to pick out with its white horizontal stripe across the side while dabbling with a few other teal. A link to a poor digiscoped picture is below (if anyone has a good way to connect the iPhone 6 to scope please please please message me privately).
Additionally there is a continuing male Eurasian Wigeon (they seem to be everywhere) across the street in the harbor. http://flic.kr/p/qFtdFC Stay warm, -Dave Sent from my iPhone -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/nysbirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
