The wiki pages for NYS eBird hotspots are updated for the month of
Feb/2015. These pages provide supplemental information and easy/direct
access to many eBird.org pages. Hopefully they will provide the details
needed for each of the hotspots covered.

The pages on the wiki covers each of the 62 counties. There are currently
15 counties that have details for individual hotspots for a total of 207
pages covering a 741 hotspots. This is roughly 20% of the 3,800+ hotspots
for all of New York State.

The counties with pages for hotspots are highlighted in gold and green in
the alphabetical listing at the bottom of the home page.

Updating the pages includes correcting the species number for the tables on
the county pages and for New York State. The color coding which highlights
each county and hotspot location is based on the species total. These
colors are based on the colors used on the eBird.org maps and range from
gray to blue to green to yellow to orange to red from lowest # of species
to highest.

A discussion section has been added to each page. If you'd like to add
comments, critiques, suggestions for links or descriptions for the county
or location pages you can sign up for a wikispaces account. To join you'll
need to provide a username, password, email account and you can answer no
to the "Make a wiki?" query.

A new species has been added to the New York State totals (currently 464
spp.) but since the new state species is not a recent find it is not so
easy to determine which is the addition.

Here's the main page. You can get to each of the counties through the
clickable map or the alphabetical list of counties with the NYC area
grouped at the end of the list.
