Just had extremely brief looks at a non-breeding plumage RED NECKED GREBE on Purdys Reservoir, viewed from the end of Deans Bridge Road in Purdys NY. Unfortunately the area of open water it was in was obscured by many trees and the bird vanished just as I attempted to digiscope it with my phone. This is the first time I've ever had one at this spot but considering the recent incursion I was suspecting one would show up. --
