In addition to these fine finds for Nassau County, an adult Arctic Tern was identified and photographed yesterday (8 June) at Nickerson by Bobby Kurtz and Joe Viglietta.
Although this species is becoming more familiar to NYS birders, it is nevertheless still an excellent find anywhere in the state and can be very challenging to identify. Photographs are still very much desired in support of all reports.
