Today was the best day in our yard this fall. A battalion of White-throated Sparrows arrived this morning and brought with them one WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, one SWAMP SPARROW, and three LINCOLN'S SPARROWS. There were ten species of warblers, highlighted by a rather late YELLOW WARBLER. Other species were both kinglets, Gray-cheeked and Swainson's Thrushes, a hummingbird, a BROWN CREEPER, and a YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER.
