HELP PLEASE! SEARCHING FOR SEABIRDS THROUGHOUT LONG ISLAND SOUND:

COA is organizing a month-long December count (12/1 thru 1/3) of seabirds
(defined broadly, including waterfowl, shorebirds and other birds) seen on
Long Island Sound (LIS). If you would like to join this 3-year project and
contribute one or more LIS observations, please take a look at the
following website and the instructions:

LISBirdCount.wordpress.com <http://lisbirdcount.wordpress.com/>
https://lisbirdcount.wordpress.com/

Razorbills (and other alcids) are among the species we are searching for,
because of their very abnormal migrations during the last several winters.
Please help us with this by reporting on any birds seen anywhere in Long
Island Sound, in both NY *and* CT waters, anytime during December, through
Jan 3rd. This is a joint NY and CT project, with some inputs from RI at
the eastern extreme of LIS. The 3-year results will be published next
Spring.

Thanks very much!
