HIGH FALLS FOR THE HOLIDAYS BIRDWALK
Please contact trip leader Lin Fagan (fagan...@verizon.net 339-2054) to
register for this holiday tradition. This year’s walk is being held in and
around delightful High Falls. We will meet at the High Falls Post Office on
Rte. 213 to carpool and visit one of the county’s best larid spots and then a
jaunt along remnant locks on the Five Locks Trail and the Rondout Creek before
having lunch in the village. Optional rendezvous at the Last Bite Cafe at 8
a.m. for coffee or breakfast.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 19 – NYML CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNT
Participate in the longest running citizen science effort in the world. Contact
Steve Chorvas (246-5900 or schor...@gmail.com ) for assignment in the Mohonk
Lake/Ashokan Reservoir count circle for assignment in the Mohonk Lake/Ashokan
Reservoir count circle no later than December 12th. Be prepared for a full day
out of doors. Reports from feeder watchers in the count circle are also
desired. Please contact Steve regarding details about compilation get together
afterward, submission of records, and weather postponement.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 26 – NYUD CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNT

Ulster/Dutchess count circle. Be prepared for a full day out of doors. Reports
from feeder watchers in the count circle are also desired. Please contact Mark

records, and weather postponement.

Anyone interested in the purpose of the Society is eligible for membership. Our
present membership ranges from professional biologists to amateur observers,
