Saw Mill River Audubon's regular 2nd Mon am bird walk at Rockefeller State
Park Preserve, Westchester County, enjoyed the sound of Louisiana
Waterthrush singing in the swamp north of Swan Lake --previous years'
nesting territory -- as well as sound & sight of a couple of singing Pine
Warblers. Small number of Palm Warblers around as well. Lone Rusty
Blackbird was seen on W shore of Swan Lake. At least three Northern
Rough-winged Swallows were over Swan Lake along with the Tree Swallows
already present and claiming nest boxes.

Yesterday at Rockefeller SPP in the early morning, an Osprey was fishing in
Swan Lake. Perhaps just passing through but would be interesting to know if
there is yet another Osprey nest in the near area, perhaps somewhere around
Tarrytown, Pocantico, or Sleepy Hollow? (In addition to the one N at
Croton RR station.)
