The recently reported dead Common Murre found near Triton Beach/Tiana Beach
(Dune Rd), was recovered and frozen on Wednesday.

If there are any birders heading to Montauk/Shinnecock/Points East over the
next few days, who could possibly help with the transport of the frozen bird to
The American Museum of Natural History, NYC, please contact me off-line. The
bird is located in East Quogue, near Sunrise Highway, but a more convenient
meeting point could be arranged. The Murre will be kept frozen, and packed
appropriately for the move.

Thanks for anyone’s help in getting this bird to Paul Sweet.
