Still present this morning 7:15-7:20, visible from Montauk Highway. 
Unfortunately it swam north through a gap in an old dam to the next pond in the 
‘strand’ that make up the lake, where it could no longer be seen. I then tried 
all vantage points accessible from the north, but it was still not visible. 
Patience will probably be required to see this bird.
