Manhattan, N.Y. City - Saturday, April 23rd:

A male Summer Tanager (at first presumed a Scarlet, now with lovely diagnostic
photos shared by finder T. Collins) continued from Thurs. into Friday 4/22, at
a courtyard area in Harlem, near Fifth Ave. & 135th St., this poss. the first
of the spring in the state. Reports including photo are in eBird and this
includes the statewide RBA therein.

A male Prothonotary Warbler has continued for at least 8 days in Central Park,
seen again Sat. 4/23 around the “Pool” in that park’s n. end.  Many other
migrants all around the county again, with many observers.

Good birding to all,

Tom Fiore
