Today was an improvement over yesterday in terms of both the weather and 
numbers of birds, but still slow for mid-May. The best spot for us today was 
the Point. 
 
Highlights in taxonomic order: Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Great Crested Flycatcher, 
12 Species of Wood Warblers, Scarlet Tanager, Rose-breasted Grosbeak. 
 
Canada Goose - pair with 4 goslings Bow Bridge (David Barrett)
Wood Duck - 2 males at the Oven
Mallard - 2 or 3, plus some ducklings at the Conservatory Water (Scott Brevda - 
just after the walk)
Mourning Dove - 15-20
Yellow-billed Cuckoo - 1 adult Ramble*
Chimney Swift - 8-10
Ring-billed Gull - 10-15
Herring Gull - around 50
Double-crested Cormorant - 8-10
Great Egret - 1 Lake
Black-crowned Night-Heron - 1 on the Point
Great Horned Owl - continues
Red-bellied Woodpecker - 1 Tupelo Field
Downy Woodpecker - 2 Laupot Bridge
Northern Flicker - 2 Tupelo Field
Great Crested Flycatcher - 1 Tupelo Field
Blue-headed Vireo - 3
Warbling Vireo - 5-8

Blackpoll Warbler - 1 male Tupelo Field
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 3 or 4
Black-throated Green Warbler - 2 males (Point, Summer House)
Scarlet Tanager - 1 male (moved from west of Persimmon Slope to Balancing Rock)
Northern Cardinal - 4-6
