Highlights: Black-billed Cuckoo, Northern Shoveler, Least Flycatcher, 8 Species 
of Wood Warblers. Thanks to Scott Brevda, Mary Kate Horbac, and Kate Wollin,

Canada Goose - 32
Northern Shoveler - 1 over the Harlem Meer 8:06am - first-of-season for Central 
Park
Gadwall - 4 at the Pool (3 more on the Reservoir later)
Mallard - around 20
Mourning Dove - around 20
Black-billed Cuckoo - 1 hatch-year bird at the Loch
Solitary Sandpiper - 1 west end of the Pool (Pyul Horbelt)
Ring-billed Gull - at least 300 at the Reservoir after lunch
Herring Gull - several flyovers plus at least 50 at the Reservoir
Great Black-backed Gull - 5
Double-crested Cormorant - 1 flyover Conservatory Garden, others at the 
Reservoir
Great Blue Heron - 1 Reservoir after lunch
Great Egret - 1 flyover, 2 at the Reservoir later
Red-tailed Hawk - 1 immature Nutter's Battery
Great Horned Owl - 1 continues (David Barrett)
Downy Woodpecker - 2 (male & female) at the Loch
Northern Flicker - several
American Kestrel - 2 (male & female) circling together over the 
Conservatory Garden
Great Crested Flycatcher - 2 (Loch & Pool)
Eastern Kingbird - 1 at the Oven in the Ramble after lunch
Eastern Wood-Pewee - 1 at the Loch
Least Flycatcher - 1 west end of the Pool
Red-eyed Vireo - 3 or 4
Blue Jay - 8-10
American Crow - 4 flyovers
Carolina Wren - 2 at the Loch
Gray Catbird - 6-8
Northern Mockingbird - hatch-year bird at Plant Nursery
Veery - 1 Great Hill, 2 more at the Maintenance Field after lunch
American Robin - around a dozen
Song Sparrow - 2 Compost Heap
Baltimore Oriole - 1 at the Loch (Sabina Schumacher)
Common Grackle - 6
Northern Waterthrush - 2 (Loch & Pool - Patricia Klein)
Black-and-white Warbler - 4
Common Yellowthroat - 4 or 5
American Redstart - 20-25
Northern Parula - 1 west end of the Pool
Magnolia Warbler - 3 or 4
Black-throated Blue Warbler - 1or 2 males at the Loch
Canada Warbler - 1 at the Loch (others later in the Ramble)
Northern Cardinal - 8
Rose-breasted Grosbeak - 2 in Jewelweed at the Loch (2 more at the Oven later)
