Manhattan, N.Y. City - thru Thursday, September 10th - At Bryant Park in mid-Manhattan, a Lincolns Sparrow found as early as Sept. 6 was still present and had been seen and photographed by many to at least Sept. 9th. Other migrants also were continuing to be found there, as in locations all around Manhattan.
Central Park held more than 40 N. Shovelers by Sept. 10, and 2 Green-winged Teal were ongoing this week, as were some ongoing Spotted and Solitary Sandpipers. Multiple not-for-profit guided bird walks were held in Central Park on Thursday, and collectively along with independently walking observers and photographers, at least 19 species of migratory American-hemisphere warblers were found, by many many people in all sectors of the park, and many continuing to walk there for Thursday. There were far more than ninety species of wild, free-flying birds in or over Central Park on Thursday, and far more than that for all of Manhattan island.
