I haven't read any details of the Croton Point Park (CPP) bird and would 
appreciate seeing the photos. The RI bird could well be the same individual and 
perhaps this can be established from the photos? Two questions: First, is the 
CPP bird an American Flamingo or another species? Second, is the band a Fish & 
Wildlife type or something a zoo/private collector would use? As an aside, 
flamingo's are capable of rapid travel over long distances and a bird like this 
could show up anywhere, not just along the SE NY to RI corridor, although one 
would think marine habitat would provide the best food source (brine shrimp 
etc) and my money would be on brackish pools or bays.
