While on a three day Adirondack canoe trip this weekend one person in our party saw and photographed a Brown Pelican Saturday on Lows Lake which is part of the Bog River Flow. It was found just North of the floating bog area, out near the private home out on the lake. I am assuming it is the same Pelican that was seen in the Adirondacks earlier in the week. Lows Lake is just east of the Five Ponds Wilderness area. The pelican was very friendly and even jumped up on one of the kayaks observing it. One of the observers mentioned to my friend that they were thinking of capturing the pelican in the next few days. Kind of sad to hear. Jim Clinton Jr.
