Subject: Sussex Swallow-tailed Kite From: Alan Boyd <alnboyd AT YAHOO.COM> Date: Thu, 27 Aug 2009 09:12:30 -0700 8/27 Yesterday afternoon a Swallow-tailed Kite was seen by Ken Witkowski along the Dagmar Dale Trail at the Wallkill River NWR headquarters. (DeLorme pg 19, I 27). I had it this morning from 9:30-10:30 in the same spot: From the headquarters building, take the right fork of the north loop of the trail to a bench with a sign that says 'Grassland Habitat'. The bird was working the area downhill from the bench over the river.
