This morning from about 9-10 there were very few shorebirds on the north side of the East Pond. The 2 Avocets were roosting in the middle of the pond, and there were 2 juvenile Stilt Sandpipers past the cove. Water levels were higher though still good for shorebirds - theoretically, at least
In the south garden there was a large raptor with a banded tail (large accipiter or buteo) that I couldn't get a decent look at. A walk through both gardens resulted in 4 warbler species and well fed mosquitoes _________________________________________________________________ Get back to school stuff for them and cashback for you. http://www.bing.com/cashback?form=MSHYCB&publ=WLHMTAG&crea=TEXT_MSHYCB_BackToSchool_Cashback_BTSCashback_1x1 -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES Temporary archive: http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
