This morning around the low tide, a marbled godwit was on the bar,
viewed from the fisherman's parking lot at Jones Beach West End. Also
on the bar was one black tern. I counted 93 black skimmers, of which
about a third were juveniles. There were about 1000 terns in Jones
Inlet and the ocean nearby. The mosquitos are BAD.
