Yesterday (Dec. 20, 2009) was the Rockland County Christmas Bird count. The highlight of the day was a Barnacle Goose reported from Piermont Pier, Piermont NY. The goose was seen in the Hudson River from the end of the Pier and was swimming with a group of Canada geese. I do not have additional details at this time. I'll post new information and/or sightings if they become available.
