Hi all, My mom, Mary Batcheller, and I birded the Coxsackie Grasslands and Boat Launch today. The highlights were a Glaucous Gull (2nd winter) at the boat launch, and the previously reported Northern Shrike on River Rd. The shrike was quite difficult to find...we eventually found it perched in the hedgerow at the very south end of the River Rd. fields. Seeing Rough-legged Hawks and harriers all over the place was also quite enjoyable. Full lists follow:
